Pairs on the diagonal, suited hands above it, offsuit hands below it; darker cells are stronger. Each number counts every opponent hand and every five-card board.

Working it out

Example: ace-king suited has 67.0% against a random hand and ace-king offsuit 65.3%, so being suited adds 1.7 points. The gap grows for weaker hands, up to 3.7 points for 32s (36.0%) against 32o (32.3%), the weakest hand in the chart. Aces lead at 85.2%; 22 sits at 50.3%, just above even.

Formula

Equity against a random hand = the average of the hand's equity over the C(50, 2) = 1,225 hands the opponent can hold, each over all C(48, 5) = 1,712,304 boards. Combinations: 6 per pair, 4 per suited hand, 12 per offsuit hand; 13 × 6 + 78 × 4 + 78 × 12 = 1,326.

Players who call or raise do not hold random hands, and position and stack depth change which hands are worth playing. Use the chart to rank hands, then check a specific matchup in the equity calculator.
