Poker outs calculator: your odds of hitting a draw
An out is a card that turns your hand into the likely winner. Enter how many you have to see the exact chance of hitting and how close the quick rule of 2 and 4 comes.
Working it out
Example: a flush draw on the flop has 9 outs. With 47 cards unseen, the exact chance to hit by the river is 1 − (38 × 37) ÷ (47 × 46) = 35.0%; the rule of 4 says 9 × 4 = 36%. On the turn, with one card to come, it is 9 ÷ 46 = 19.6%, and the rule of 2 says 18%.
Formula
Flop, two cards to come: 1 − C(47 − outs, 2) ÷ C(47, 2). Turn, one card to come: outs ÷ 46. Rule of 4 and 2: outs × 4 on the flop, outs × 2 on the turn.
Every out is counted as a clean winner. An out that also improves your opponent, or that they already block, is worth less.

Common questions
Should I add my flush and straight outs together?
Count each unseen card only once. A card that completes both draws is still one out. Discount cards that could give your opponent a better hand.
Does hitting an out guarantee I win?
No. This calculator measures hitting one of your assumed clean outs. Opponents can have stronger draws or improve again. For a specific matchup, compare the actual hands and board in the equity lab.
