Pot odds calculator
Before you call, compare two numbers: how often you need to win, and how often you will. This calculator gives the first one and, if you know your equity, the value of the call.
Working it out
Example: the pot is 60 bb and your opponent bets 40 bb. You call 40 to win the 100 already in the middle, so you need 40 ÷ (60 + 2 × 40) = 28.6% equity. With a flush draw worth about 35%, calling earns 0.35 × 100 − 0.65 × 40 = +9 bb on average.
Formula
Required equity = bet ÷ (pot + 2 × bet), counting the pot before the bet. EV of a call = equity × (pot + bet) − (1 − equity) × bet.
The calculator ignores later betting and rake, and counts ties as part of your equity. Minimum defense frequency is a simplified benchmark, not a rule for every spot.

Common questions
Does the pot include the bet I face?
Enter the pot before your opponent bets. If the displayed pot already includes that bet, subtract it first. Your own call is added by the calculator.
Can I use my chance of hitting by the river to call on the flop?
Only if you will see both remaining cards for that price, such as when calling an all-in. Otherwise, later bets can change the cost. Equity includes ties and is not always the same as the chance of completing a draw.
