Part 5 · Lesson 25 of 25 · Pro

Putting it all together

One last hand, flop to river, against the nemesis, and every street asks for a different lesson. The book ends where the course began: math improves play by giving every decision a number. Prices, ranges, equity, balance, sizing, bankroll and prize equity are tools for one job, choosing the play with the highest expectation.

The hand

Flop. You hold A♥ Q♥, the nut flush draw. The pot is 12 bb, both stacks are 60 bb, and the nemesis is in the hand.

Formula

EV first, always: price → range → equity → compare → adjust
