Odds of flopping a flush with suited cards

Two suited cards flop a flush 0.84% of the time (1 in 119) and a flush draw 10.9%. Counting the turn and river, they make a flush 6.4% of the time.

Exact counts, not simulations.

How it is counted

Eleven cards of your suit are left among 50. A flush on the flop needs all three from those 11; a flush draw needs exactly two of them and one of the 39 others.

Flush on the flop: C(11,3) ÷ C(50,3) = 165 ÷ 19,600 Flush draw: C(11,2) × 39 ÷ 19,600
